Pengoloo - Wooden Penguin Memory Game From Blue Orange

This is an adorable wooden game from Blue Orange called Pengoloo. It's a memory game that you play using little wooden penguins and colored eggs that fit underneath them.

The game is for 2-4 player and comes with 4 "icebergs" to put your penguins on, two multi-colored dice, which are used to determine which color of egg you need to find and 12 penguins with 12 different colored eggs.

The game is simple to play and is recommended for ages 4 and up but even a child of three would easily be able to master it. What's especially fun for parents is that it is a fairly quick game, about ten minutes, so children don't have a chance to get bored and you can squeeze a quick game in just about anytime of day. It is more fun than the traditional memory card games which can be a chore to set up and can also drag on for quite awhile depending on the number of cards in the deck.  

All game pieces are made entirely of wood and painted using non-toxic paints. It has won several awards, including the Parent's Choice Award and the Dr. Toy Award just to name a couple.

I also noticed on the Blue Orange website that replacement pieces are available, at a very reasonable price, for all of their games. So if a purple egg magically disappears (like ours did) you can easily get another one.
