Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends - A Bug Collection

A Bug Collection DVD Box Set: Volume 3Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends was a very pleasant surprise for me. I was kind of expecting a lot of corniness and eye-rolling on my part but I actually found them very well done and entertaining.

This set which is a Bug Collection Volume 3 contains three dvds:

1- Milo the Mantis Who Wouldn't Pray. About a praying mantis named Milo who wants to ask for God's help but has no idea how.

2- Buzby and the Grumblebees. About a couple of misbehaving bugs that get a lesson in what it would be like if everyone behaved as badly as they did.

3- Hailey and Bailey's Silly Fight. About  two ladybugs that get into the most ridiculous fight while trying to help someone and the unexpected consequences it has on everyone.

The dvds include the wonderful voice talents of Tim Conway (who doesn't love Tim Conway?), Richard Kind and Victoria Jackson.

These stories contain some valuable lessons for children and are presented in an engaging and educational manner. They are aimed at young children ages 3-6(maybe 7) although younger children would probably find the talking bugs and brightly colored animation entertaining. My five year old loves them and they have quickly became part of her regularly requested shows to watch. Definitely a keeper!

Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own
