Green Kids, Sage Families by Lynda Fassa

Green Kids, Sage Families: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Your Organic KidsGreen Kids, Sage Families was written by Lynda Fassa who is also the author of Green Babies, Sage Moms. She is the founder of one of the world's largest and first organic clothing companies. Lynda is also the correspondent for Discovery's PlanetGreen.com
The moment I read the introduction I knew this was going to be a great book. The author is a Mom and she writes as though she's having a Mom to Mom chat. It's personal. She writes about the day to day habits that affect our children and the uncomplicated ways in which we can change them.

Unlike many doom and gloom "living green" books this is a positive book. Despite some very scary facts Lynda gives hope and motivation for living a healthier, safer lifestyle for our children's sake.
Lynda Fassa's definition of green is "Green means safe. If it's really green, it means you can finally catch a break- that you don't have to check the label (and check it twice)." Wouldn't that be nice?

Green Kids, Sage Families covers everything from avoiding pesticides on the lawn, and other unexpected places to organic eating and playing as well as ways to green your children's school.

This is the perfect book for any parent who wants to start "living greener" for their children's sake but doesn't quite know where to start. Even is you're already well on your way to being "green" this book is full of new ideas and is a very entertaining and informative read.
